The same Suite Bette Davis stayed at is today dedicated to the legendary actress, Miss Bette Davis, whose classic films have graced the world resided at Hotel Maria Cristina in September 1989 in sutie 416. As a tribute to the First Lady of Motion Pictures and who reputedly is known to have given the statuette “Oscar” it’s name, suite 416 is dedicated in her honor . In 2014, at the San Sebastian Film Festival, Turner Spain honored her legacy in a documentary, “Bette Davis’ Bids Farewell” which includes film from her stay in this hotel.
